New to The Gym? How Do You Build Muscle?
Going to the gym is great, but if you’re on a mission to gain a lot of muscle, you need to do a range of things. In this article, we’ll be running through them, so what’re you waiting for?
Supplements
You need Creatine in your life. It’s one of the best things you have can have around if you’re interested in building the most muscle. This is as Creatine is an amino acid that helps you perform more reps. The sheer increase in the amount of weights you’ll lift would drastically increase your body mass, especially in a short period of time.
What’s more, Creatine supplements are easy to find. As you’re on the mission to build muscle, you’re probably taking protein supplements already. So, why not add Creatine into the mix?
Not only should you focus on Creatine, HMB supplements help quite a bit. They prevent muscle loss and best of all, encourages muscle growth rapidly. You could try and increase HMB growth naturally, but your best bet would be to get it from a supplement. Similar to Creatine, getting HMB isn’t difficult.
Sleep
You need to sleep, sleep and sleep! When you deadlift, you work out your entire body, making your muscles repair in the night. Sleep heals the tears you’ve made, making your muscles bigger than what they were.
So, the longer you sleep, the more repairs that would take place. You need at least 8 hours a night if you’re aim is to build muscle. Although this seems easy, it’s unfortunate that a lot of people struggle with sleeping. So, you need to create a proper schedule, allowing yourself ample rest.
Powerlift
If you want to build the most muscle, be mindful of what exercises you do. You should try ones that target your whole body as this creates muscle evenly. Thankfully, you can do this through powerlifting as deadlifts, bench presses and squats work your major muscle groups.
Luckily for you, there are gyms especially for powerlifting. There are quite a few of them, each having expert trainers. Visiting names like https://www.liftersleague.com.au would help quite a bit.
Reduce Rest
Between sets, you’ve probably reached for your phone. We’re all guilty of this, so don’t worry. Although normal, you shouldn’t do this for very long. You need to make the time spent on your phone is very small as the longer the interval is, the less strain you’re exerting on your muscles.
After all, you get bigger when you tear your muscles up. This won’t happen if you rest every 2 minutes, now would it?
Eat Extra
You need to maintain a calorie surplus if you’re planning on getting swole. You can’t do anything if you’re on a calorie deficit as your body would focus on surviving, not building muscle.
You can calculate how many calories you need in a day through fitness apps, then add about 250 calories extra to it.
As you see, multiple things can be done to increase your ability to build muscle. We discussed the best suggestions, but there are many more of them out there. So, what do you think?
